I must have talked too much about my own beloved country one particular Wednesday. The King laughed heartily, lifted me up on his hand and pointed a finger at me. Turning to his Minister, who stood behind him, he laughed again. What a foolish thing was human pride, he said, that it could be imitated by such small insects as this one on his hand. These creatures, he went on, have titles, dress in fancy clothes, build houses, love and fight, just like real people!
