Борис Винокур, член Ассоциации американских писателей. Автор трех романов на английском языке: Inside the Kremlin Walls ("Тайна кремлевских стен") (1985), The Mafia ("Мафия") (2005) и The Be witched Land ("Заколдованная Земля") (2006). Они были изданы в США. А также трех документальных романов, изданных в Москве: "Путч" (1992), "Аль Капоне. Неизвестная история мафии" (2002) и "Тайны ядерного оружия" (2011). Автор сценария документального телевизионного фильма Al Capone. Yesterday and Today ("Аль Капоне. Вчера и сегодня"), транслировавшегося в США.

В 70-х годах прошлого столетия был издателем первой в Чикаго газеты на русском языке, которая так и называлась: "Чикаго". Затем основал информационное агентство BMV News Service, на основе которого издавал еженедельную газету на английском языке Modern Times ("Современное время"). В 90-х годах работал в одном из подразделений Пентагона.
